Euphoria washes over me with intensity only slightly greater than that of a light to a fire. Deep breath in- and out - the salt stings my nostrils and sends my senses into overdrive, and my face feels warm with the glow of the afternoon sun ablaze over my closed eyes. I can't see anything, but I can hear the waves, lapping lazily on a shore barren with driftwood and empty bottles deprived of messages. It is here where i re-center, where i find solace in the sounds and smells of the coastline. Eyes open. Tears hit and I'm blinded by the blurry, vibrant hues that encompass my thoughts, jar my memory, and put me at ease.
